The osprey made a loud splash as it hit the water behind me. It took a moment before I realized he didn’t have a grab-and-go and was struggling. The fish fought long enough to give me time to get this shot. My camera settings are odd. I’d been playing around in manual and experimenting. I didn’t have time to adjust and am lucky on every level to have managed to get this image. I need to do a better “pre-flight” going forward, even when there’s little time.
