Juvenile House Finch

Posted on September 5, 2022September 5, 2022

This juvenile house finch was getting ready to land on the basil to snack on the blossom seeds.

I like this frozen motion as the bird transitions from flight to landing approach. I thought this transition occurred closer to the landing spot but everything happens so fast hard to tell without the stop action a camera provides.

About

I’m learning to see birds and their movement through the lens of a camera. I’m a new photographer surprised at the richness of detail the pictures provide. How I see and watch birds has changed forever.
