Actually, this might be the same bald eagle as my last posting, but this time I captured it on a wet, rainy day sitting in a pine tree across the creek from us. Another overcast day so not much light on the sensor. I did use a slower shutter speed so the ISO is a bit lower too, but I’m still not getting the super crisp image I’m looking for. I’m going to remove the extender, so that I’m back to F11, versus F16, on my 800mm lens.
I like how the eagle’s head shows the wet, clumpy feathers. I believe it’s just resting and not fishing. We’ve gotten to see an eagle almost weekly, sometimes multiple days in a row. Their roost must be nearby. They are just amazing creatures.
